Absolute and relative errors in the water and solute mass balances of the entire flow domain are also given.
An ASCII output file which gives information for the entire domain or specified subregions about:
- size of the transport domain or specified subregions (Area [L2] in 2D and Volume [L3] in 3D),
- volumes of water (Volume [L2] in 2D and VolumeW [L3] in 3D),
- inflow and outflow fluxes into the domain or specified subregions (InFlow – positive for increase in moisture, [L2/T] in 2D and [L3/T] in 3D),
- mean pressure heads (hMean, [L]),
- amounts of solute in equilibrium phases (ConcVol, [M/L] in 2D and [M] in 3D),
- amounts of solute in nonequilibrium phases (ConcVlIm ([M/L] in 2D and [M] in 3D) and SobVlIM ([L2] in 2D and [L3] in 3D) for physical and chemical nonequilibrium, respectively),
- mean concentrations in the liquid phase (cMean, [M/L3]),
- mean concentrations in the nonequilibrium phase (cMeanIm [M/L3] and sMeanIm [M/M])
- mean temperature (tMean [C]),
- energy content (HeatVol, [LM/T2] in 2D and [L2M/T2] in 3D),
- absolute error in the water mass balance (WatBalT, [L2] in 2D and [L3] in 3D),
- relative error in the water mass balance (WatBalR, [%]),
- absolute error in the solute mass balance (CncBalT, [M/L] in 2D and [M] in 3D),
- relative error in the solute mass balance (CncBalR, [%]).
The text dialog displaying Mass Balance Information or Inverse Solution Results has only a limited capacity. If the file to be displayed is larger than this capacity (when there is too many print times or large number of data points in the inverse problem), a warning "File is too big to be displayed entirely! Open it in any text editor." is given. Users in such case need to display the Balance.out or Fit.out files, respectively, directly using any text editor, such as Notepad or WordPad. Both files are located in the Temporary Working Directory.
For units used see Units in HYDRUS.
