Scaling Factors - Pressure Head

Parent Previous Next

Use this command to specify the spatial distribution of scaling factors for the hydraulic conductivity, the pressure head, and the water content. The scaling procedure is designed to simplify the description of the spatial variability of the unsaturated soil hydraulic properties in the flow domain. The code assumes that the hydraulic variability in a given area can be approximated by means of a set of linear scaling transformations which relate the individual soil hydraulic characteristics θ(h) and K(h) to reference characteristics θ*(h*) and K*(h*).
