Edit Adsorbed Concentration

Parent Previous Next

When the solute transport is nonequilibrium, one needs to specify also the initial concentration in the nonequilibrium phase. When the Physical Nonequilibrium (mobile-immobile water content concept) is considered then the concentration in the immobile water represents the concentration in the nonequilibrium phase. When the Chemical Nonequilibrium (mobile-immobile water content concept) is considered then the sorbed concentration on site-2 sorption sites (kinetically sorbed) represents the concentration in the nonequilibrium phase.

Use this command to specify the initial condition for solute transport by defining the initial spatial distribution of the concentration over the flow region. The initial condition is given in two steps. First, a certain spatial region is selected with the mouse. Next, the value of the concentration, c, assigned as initial condition to a selected region is specified in the pop-up window. The initial condition can be imported from the results of a previous application using the Import Initial Conditions command.
