Subregions

Edit Distribution of Subregions command  specifies the spatial distribution of subregions for separate mass balance calculations. Mass balances for water and solute are carried out over these subregions, as well as over the entire flow domain. Relative and absolute errors in the mass balances for water and/or solute are computed over the entire transport region.

The subregions may or may not coincide with the material regions. Each subregion is characterized by an integer code that runs from 1 to NLay (the total number of subregions). A subregion code is assigned to each element in the flow domain.
